Freezer Meals

I love Freezer Meals, mostly because I can spend one full day dedicated to cooking and come away with future meals. When I'm in the "mode" I tend to spend more than one consecutive day or every other day for a couple of weeks cooking, but then I have back up meals for a month or so.

The disadvantage is you don't  have enough vegetables to go with your meal, so you still need to come up with a side dish. I am actually looking for "freezer vegetables" that have more flare than just opening a can of green beans. I mean we all love nice looking yummy tasting vegetables, but the good ones take time. So if you know of any, please let me know and I'll give them a try.

The other thing I like about freezer meals, is you get to make a huge mess! This makes it OK to let the kids help, because I find it contains the mess! You see if they are helping you, then they are not off creating messes other places. They are helping you create a mess. I find the kids will eat the food better also, because they helped prepare it!  The following picture is of my Son Hyrum, as he is dumping the meat into our bowl he informs me that the "meat is pooping!" Is was way to cute not to share or take a picture of!

If it makes it onto my blog officially, then you know my kids love it, and it's not a hard recipe.

Question and Answers:
What Recipe do you use? I take any casserole dish recipe, make more than one and stick them all in the freezer uncoooked.

What do you use for pans? I use aluminum pans. I would really like to find glass casserole dishes at a second hand store and use them, but then I think what if I give one away, I don't want to give away my glass dish also. So I continue to use aluminum pans because if I give them away, they can throw it all away and not worry about returning my second hand store pan!

Do you have Questions? Let me know and I'll post them for all to read! (and I'll answer to the best of my knowledge!)
